Lauren currently teaches visual art to middle school students. She is passionate about her work with young people in and out of school. Prior to her return to the classroom, Lauren supported social justice and artivism efforts at Groundswell Community Mural Project as their Communications Coordinator.

Over the past 8 years, Lauren has completed close to 20 community mural projects through partnerships and grants with the Mayor's Mural Crew (Boston), East Somerville Main Streets, Art Week Boston, the Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement (Boston), Tulane University, Mural Arts (Philadelphia), and 352 Walls (Gainesville.)

With a serious focus on collaborating and advocating for young artists, Lauren has led workshops, art builds, summer camp sessions, paint days, and mural intensives in all of the communities she has been a part of. In 2017, Lauren and the Mayor's Mural Crew were presented the first "Love Your Block: Civic Engagement Award" for their contributions to public art and neighborhood beautification in the city of Boston. Lauren continues her commitment to this work by listening, connecting, and sharing the stories of her community and her neighbors.
